The Raga Ranjani School of Music is affiliated with Pracheen Kala Kendra of Chandigarh, India. Pracheen Kala Kendra is one of many institutions which conduct examinations and issue diplomas equivalent to different college degrees. They have several hundred centers all over India, as well as abroad. The Raga Ranjani School of Music is the main center of Pracheen Kala Kendra in the USA and is registered to conduct examinations in music in order to help students obtain diplomas equivalent to Intermediate and Bachelor's degree. The School has been conducting examinations since 2003, and in 2005, two other schools from Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR, joined as sub-centers. The two parts of the examinations are Theory and Practical examinations. The practical Examiner always comes from a different state or on occasion directly from India. The students receive mark-sheets and certificates issued from India.

Examination Schedule and
other Information · The THEORY Examination is usually held at the end of OCTOBER, or the beginning of NOVEMBER. · The PRACTICAL Examination is usually held at the end of FEBRUARY or in MARCH, depending on the availability of an examiner. Good Luck to All Taking the Examinations
Registering for the
Examinations:
Teachers must hold at least a BA degree in Music and have a minimum of 5 students registering for the examinations in order to receive a separate center number; otherwise the stusdents may take the test under the Raga Ranjani School of Music.
